Blah

So, let's see. My last update was in January. I really thought I'd have something interesting to say by now. Still no job and G and I are still 3618 miles apart.

All kinds of stuff has happened since my last post:

• G and I both turned 40!
• We both quit the crappy jobs that were tiding us over until something good happened
  
• I had six job interviews
• I lost another 15 pounds
• I lost my house
• G learned how to use Facebook
• I became addicted to Twitter, gossip blogs and watching TV on the internet
• I planned two amazing Barbie Dream Weddings - dates TBD
• I found a source for free international calls

Notice how none of that gets G and me any closer to actually being together.

There was a lot of discussion over the past months about what we were going to do. Was I going to the UK, was G coming to the US? We found out that without money we can't really do anything. I can't get a job in the UK unless I'm married to G. No problem but I need a visa to live and work in the UK. I can't afford the visa application and G isn't at the required income level to sponsor me. Same problems if G comes here. So, we wait. My resume is finally starting to get some notice however it's usually people calling or e-mailing to say that I'm great but they're only considering local candidates. The fact that I can be in their town by the next morning doesn't seem to matter. And yes I'm using my CA and FL addresses where applicable.

So, yeah.
